I told a political candidate today that she looked beautiful

So Canada is having a federal election & I was at the bus stop & I saw this political campaign rally held by the Socialist Labor party - NDP. So I walked up to them & saw this young girl whom I thought was just a campaign worker. Turned out she was their candidate for this district. And her photo was on the campaign signs. She was so pretty so I said to her, "You're so beautiful!" And then I thought, "Whoops! What the hell did I say?! Control yourself, man!" It just came out spontaneously.

Anyway she didn't seem too offended, but this party is known for being ultrafeminist & politically correct. So I backed off out of embarrassment for my inability to control my thoughts. I understand it was just a political rally and she was trying to look respectable. However she was rather stunning:
