As I was looking at backpacks, I was reminded of what I did with my backpack first or second quarter as a freshman in college. I was so hungover and I had to go to 2 or 3 classes that day. One or two where the professor actual took attendance. I put a pillow in my backpack and put my head on it to survive that day.

I had forgotten all about that...

Contents of my backpack in the city: wallet, keys, phone, travel mug, latest copy of The Economist or Canadian Geographic or Skeptical Inquirer, notebook, pens, crossword puzzle magazine, Samsung Tab, Kobo Glo HD, Narcan kit, hard copy daily planner, miniature chess/checkers/backgammon board, multi-tool.

Contents of my backpack outside the city: bottle of South African red wine, bottle opener, Italian cold cuts and cheese, trail mix, insect repellant, bear spray, moist towelettes, Kobo Glo HD, extra pair of hiking boot laces, extra pair of socks, Canon binoculars, digital camera, vinyl poncho.

So, since you only carry the Narcan kit in the city, I assume it is not for personal use, but that you are being a good Samaritan.
