I'm generally healthy. Don't smoke, alcohol consumption is low, don't do drugs or smoke marijuana either.
I was gonna go the walk in health clinic today to get some antibiotics for a strep throat infection.
But yer right. The doctors here don't want you to waste their time.
If you do, they hate you & you see that look of impatience on their face turn inta an angry frown.
So I go in there 10 mins max & git the hell out.
So as a consequence the doctors here like me.
Often they see 80 patients in a day.
A universal healthcare system can only continue if healthy people don't overburden it or waste the doctor's time. and its the responsibility of patients not to abusse the system.
I dunno. Perhaps the medical system is more efficient and serves the needs of a private feepayer better. Butcha gotta also pay big bucks for it too.
I met some very competent health professionals in the States.
But even they are amazed that Canada can provide free or low cost healthcare to its citizens.
