While that's pretty much a historical fact, you really ought to look at the history of those two parties over a long period of time. They have tended to change masks and change memberships. The Whigs and Republicans of 1860 were progs, and the Dems of 1861 were cons. FDR got elected by unions and progs, not by the Blue Dog dems of the south who were still the party of Jim Crow. But Nixon sucked those Blue Dogs right out of the dem party and they've been repugs ever since 1968.
In politics like in religion, binary thinking will fuck your head up. Especially if you're looking at a two-party system where the parties are not about ideology as much as getting in power.
I only hear Democrats say that and honestly, after digging into that.....I really dont see the change at all, except in that Democrats are soft racists now. Believing minorities and women are weak and incapable, the low expectations, and the exploitation. I think the funniest was the left yelling about voter ID laws being racist, because black people often dont have ID, dont have access to DMVs, dont have internet access....it was absolutely horrifying. Stuff like that you often see with dems. Yanno, if we deport all the illegal immigrants who is gonna pick fruit for low wages(labor exploutation) and scrub toilets, yadda yadda.
