You hit the nail on the head here.
I actually liked Obama.. aside from his signature fuckup (but that wasn't entirely his fault) ... and persons like Biden are of more soundness in mind than that lunatic Bernie Stalin. They realize, like most of us do, that while greedy and evil, corporations make up an essential part of our economy and attempt to walk the fragile tight rope needed to both appease them and hold them accountable.
I am well aware that morally speaking corporations are foul. However, the morality of these issues and the practical outcome that would accompany chastising them are two different issues which much be approached with due care. Due care that these lunatic communists have not demonstrated they are willing to exercise.
100 years ago 90% of humans lived in conditions of abject poverty.
Now it's only 10%. I cannot ignore that kind of data. Does the system need to be regulated, tweaked and challenged? Absolutely.
I don't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater. And even the countries that have "socialistic" tendencies, such as the Nordic countries, no one there speaks of destroying their version of "Wall Street". They are strong free market capitalist countries where everyone pays a lot of their earnings in taxes.
That's the problem in the US. People don't want to pay for what they want or want less.
We can't have free education, healthcare, etc and have the comsumer society that we do. There are forces acting upon Americans that gets them wanting more and more shit and complaining that the stuff they really need isn't free or subsidized by taxation.
