I don't think racism and nationalism are the same thing. I am an American of latin decent. And despite my heritage if pressed, I would prefer to see the United States fair better than any of the original countries my ancestors are from. This does not mean I am racist towards my own ethnicity, what it means is that THIS is the country I pledge allegiance to above any other.
