I agree with Lotus insofar as the OP goes.  But that's not going to help much.

I can tell Lotus that Biggie is the kind of troll who likes to troll posts intended for rational discussion.  And once he sees a victim's knees buckle -- or even quiver a little -- he will be relentless in pursuing the troll WITHOUT ANY REGARD for its internal logic or even the veracity of its claims.

He's also the kind of unprincipled admin who thinks NOTHING of trolling his own forum or its members, and could care less if they end up rage-quitting the forum....EVEN WHEN he knows and acknowledges them as valuable, contributing posters.

No one who's not seen this "relentless" thing in operation can fully appreciate how tiring it is. 

Lotus's best strategy in this situation is to take my free advice, available to anyone, about how to deal with Biggie -- knowing that it will (at best) lead only to an armed standoff that might last for literally years of enmity.

Since this thread is en route to the flame board, I'll go ahead and divulge my trade secrets here.

First, abandon the CONTENT of the dispute at hand -- in this case communism, and let him bloviate as and how he likes.  Using the occasional emoji to scoff at those posts is more than sufficient.

Second, pick some trollable self-disclosure he's made (such as his being a gym rat who has used illegal steroids for body building purposes) and start drawing mental pictures about where this will take him physically and mentally, down the road.  The pictures don't need to be factual except in a basic way; they only need to be lurid, decrepit, pitiful, and vaguely believable. 

Third, start putting the troll into words (did I say LURID?) and memes, and use your own writing abilities freely.  The key word here will be the hashtag word or the new nickname you aim to saddle him with.

Fourth, be very persistent and as close to remorseless as you can find it in your heart to be.  Bear in mind that the fruit of your work will not come overnight, so just be content with the satisfaction of seeing other posters begin to refer to him with the nickname YOU have hung around his neck.

And finally, disabuse yourself of the ridiculous notion that tap dancing on the NEG button with an eye on the karma clock is of any avail.  Rather, it's a completely futile move that just makes one look like a n00b.
