I'm just a person who understands that a life living inside the womb that is perfectly capable of living outside the womb IS a life. And ending that life is a murder like any other time a life is ended at the hands of another human being.

But since IVF became the norm with a zygote being the 'baby' doesn't that surely mean that anyone who aborts any fertilised egg is 'murdering' said 'child'?

I have total belief in a system where one should be able to abort a fetus that would not survive outside the womb under normal circumstances.

As a species we have the most needy offspring in  existence with children below say aged 10 unable to support themselves without parents.

For every qualified reason I can think of including rape and fetal abnormality I think abortion should be legal until a natural childbirth would give a kid a fair shot.

It may not be the most poular viewpoint but I'm allowed mine as are others thiers.

I've shared the experience with my niece, which has informed my opinion.   It's real.  She is married, she had a malformed child.

If a woman wanted to go in the opposite direction, and have an abortion, I think society should stay out of it.  You're just blowing hot air because you have it to blow.

Nothing of the regrettable circumstances you describe invalidate the undeniable fact that if a baby can exist outside the womb but you kill it while inside the womb that this action is not murder.

You're trying to compare apples to transmissions here.

If it cannot survive outside of the womb then it is basically on human life support provided by the mother, which is no different principally speaking than machine assisted life support. Therefore, the process of "pulling the plug" in this instance is no different than kissing a family member off who is in a vegetative state. No murder has been committed.

But should an alternative situation exist where that same family member had a substantial chance of regaining conscientiousness but you decided to poison him/her somehow because their presence would inconvenience you  somehow then you have just committed murder
