Turkey, squash, corn are all native to Mexico.  Americans wouldn't have Thanksgiving without our people's contribution.   Wouldn't have chile peppers, avocados or chocolate either. Potatoes and tomatoes originated in Andean South American.

I know how to make tamales, and have before.  This year, we made some when I was with my family during Veteran's Day weekend in SoCal.  We froze them, so I have some to cook for Thursday if I want.

And so what? That's some dumb shit right there.
So, they should allow hordes of welfare leeches into the US because of the stuff that grew on nature?
The chocolate from the savages was a nasty bitter disgusting concoction that resembles nothing of what the Europeans did with it.

And most of the other stuff was just low grade wild species, that yielded a whole lot less than the modern strains we have today, thanks to genetic amelioration that was completely ignored by the children-sacrificing savages and their pagan demon gods.
